Good Morning Church Members & Guests,

Good morning church!  We welcome all our visiting guests today and trust you will sense a Christian atmosphere and the presence of the Lord here.  This year is starting out as a true blessing in our church and school.  Although we are still in the first quarter, we have had a wonderful Winter Missions Conference followed by a spirit-moving revival.  We will be adding two new missionary works to support soon!   Many of our young people are desiring to walk with God and serve Him.  The moving of God fell on our new monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast last Saturday.  The men are looking forward to the next prayer meeting, held on the second Saturday of every month at 8 am, for breakfast, fellowship and purposeful prayer.  The widowers (men) in our church have an Eco boat cruise and lunch this month on Saturday the 16th.   A men’s fellowship dinner is scheduled for March 18th.  There is plenty for the ladies in the days ahead, too. The next Encouragers (a widows group that meets for lunch, encouragement, fellowship and prayer) and Ladies Bible Study meeting dates will be announced soon.  Our Wednesday night teens are having great meetings and are looking forward to summer camp.  Several of our grades are already full for the next school year!  I could go on and on to the glory of our Lord!  As a church body, let us draw close to God and, as He has promised, He will draw close to us.    Remember to share Jesus with someone this coming week.

Good Morning Church Members & Guests

Welcome to today’s service as we continue in our ‘Winter Missions Conference’.

If you are a guest today, we thank you for worshipping with us at TBC and pray you experience a Christian welcome.

We are learning at this conference that God has called every believer to fulfill The Great Commission: “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel”. Some feel unqualified because they don’t know all the theology taught in seminaries. But really, neither God nor those we are sharing our faith with are interested in that sort of stuff. What they care about is whether or not we have a loving heart and care about them. We need to have the love of God in our heart.

It reminds me of a story about Harry Winston, who was considered the world’s greatest merchant of fine jewelry. One day, he was watching one of his salespeople show a diamond to a very rich client. He noticed how the salesman expertly described the stone and all of its fine features. But the gentleman ended up not wanting to buy. Before the gentleman could leave the shop, Winston asked if he could show him the diamond one more time. But instead of talking about the quality of the diamond, he turned it over in his hand and talked about its beauty. The gentleman was so moved that he bought the diamond. Afterwards he asked Winston, “Why did I buy the diamond so willingly from you, but didn’t hesitate saying ‘no’ to your salesman?” Winston replied, “That salesman is one of the best men in the business. He knows diamonds – but I love them.”

It’s not how much we know about God; rather it’s how much we love Jesus that is going to make the difference. And so, if we are sent by God to be the light of Jesus to this lost and sin-darkened world, what’s going to give us the power to shine? Well, to be an effective missionary, we need to be connected directly into the power source.

Good morning members, guests and friends of TBC. Today is the start of our much awaited “Winter Missions Conference”. It is imperative that we, as a body of believers called the church, stay focused on the importance of missions. Missions is reaching lost souls for God. In the book of Matthew chapter 28, verses 19 & 20, God gave us the Great Commission. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations...” This is a commission to every born again believer in Jesus Christ.

Today you will meet two missionary couples, the Comers and the Salmons. The Comers are reaching Spanish nations and the Salmons are reaching souls over in Bangkok, Thailand.

WHEN ANY CHURCH LOSES THE SPIRIT OF THE GREAT COMMISSION, IT SURRENDERS THE VERY REASON FOR ITS EXISTENCE.

God is a missionary God. The Bible is a missionary book. The gospel is a missionary message. The Church is a missionary institution.

When the Church ceases to be missionary minded, it has betrayed its trust.

Fun, Food, and Fellowship.

God impressed upon my mind and heart the word “CONNECT”. Let us all purpose in our minds and hearts to get more connected into the Word of God, the Holy Spirit and to each other. If we all improve our connectivity to God, it will not only improve our connectivity with our Brothers and Sis- ters in Christ, but also with the lost, to win them to Jesus Christ. Have you ever have a bad connection with someone on your cell phone? Thank God, as a Christian, our connec- tion to God is not dependent upon a modem or cell tower! Meet with God everyday and all through the day.

Good Morning and Happy New Year!

How many of you here this morning would like to have a fresh start in your Christian life?  In John 10:10, Jesus said, “I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.”

The good news is God wants us to have a fresh start in life, a new beginning.  We need to understand that God is far more interested in our future than He is in our past.  Mr. Carl Brand said, “Though no one can go back and make a new beginning - anyone can start from now and make a brand new end.”

MISSIONS MOMENT - The Orricks - Missionaries to Wales

December 2018

In our last letter we asked everyone to pray for a few different events. One of those was our outreach during the town’s bonfire night. We were so blessed to set up our booth right in the center of it all. We were able to meet so many people and give out the Gospel along with information about our church and loads of sweets and treats.

Another request was for our baptism services. For those who have been reading our monthly letters, Tom, his wife Jo, and her daughter, Abi, have all accepted Christ as their Saviour over the past few months. This past month, they all three followed the Lord in baptism! The services were amazing! Many from their Ju Jitsu school, as well as friends from the community were in attendance and heard a clear presentation of the Gospel. We are praying for many more to come to Christ as a result. Thank you again for praying for these special events and services.

On another exciting note, we have had several who have been attending our services as a result of our October Harvest Outreach. One Sunday after services, the grandmother, Tracy, asked Richie to explain to her some things regarding salvation. While doing so, Tracy’s daughters, Amy and Steph, along with Steph’s husband, Chris, all listened in on the conversation. We are thrilled to share with you that at the end of the conversation, Tracy and Amy both prayed to be saved! Please pray for Chris and Steph to be saved. They were not ready to make that decision but were very receptive, and Chris said that he just needs a little more time since this is all so new.

Along with all this wonderful news, we were so blessed this past month to have some very dear friends from our sending church come and visit us during Thanksgiving. It was such a huge encouragement to us and our kids.

Prayer Request

We are having a Christmas Eve Carol Service and are praying for more opportunities to share the message of salvation with the people in our community.

Serving Christ together, Richie, Missy, Briton and Isabella Orrick
