Remarks From The Pastor - April 29, 2018

Good Morning Church Members & Guests

Good morning church and greetings to all in the service!  God has richly blessed us who live in the United States of America.  Most people around the world today live in poverty.  I feel God has blessed our nation because the founders sought out a land to live and worship freely.  God has also blessed America because many of our founding fathers were asking God for spiritual guidance in laying out the governing laws.

Yet Spain, for example, set sail to other lands to find gold.  The founding fathers of our great nation realized that without the hand of God, there can be no true comfort.

In the Bible Study today you will study about this very fact-that true and lasting comfort only comes from God.  You will read 2 Cor. 1:3-4, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforted us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

If you are not attending Bible Study on Sunday mornings I want to encourage you to join a class.  We have classes for all ages.  Adult teachers are Mr. Chuck Tanner who teaches in room #104, Mr. Mike Barnes teaches in the main auditorium, and Mr. Garry Colvin teaches in room #107.  All children’s Bible Study classes, Teens, & College age meet in the second building.

Being a part of a Sunday school class is a great way to get to know fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
