Remarks From The Pastor - January 7, 2018

One of my prayers for this New Year is that more members will join Sunday School.  One way is for Sunday school students to invite people to their class.  Sunday school is where you will meet new friends, socialize and study the Bible together.

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

In today’s world of fake news, people want to hear and know the truth.  Truth is what the Word of God is and it will set you free.  Free from sin, free from feeling alone, free from worry and free from internal pressures.  God is calling us here at TBC to know and live out His Word.

This year we will be exploring the Bible book-by-book.  Each lesson will take you deep into Scripture; revealing context essential to understanding the text’s original intent and promoting transformation through God’s Word in everyday life.  You will be given a Study Guide to take home and go over the next Sunday’s lesson each day.

Becky and I are using the Study Guide as part of our daily devotions.  By reading a portion of the Study Guide each day you will be coming to Sunday School with the background of the lesson and perhaps a question or comment to add to the class experience.

Why not show someone you care and invite them to your Sunday school class next Sunday!
