After 32 years of holding services in rented buildings, this year the Kokura Bible Baptist Church was able to purchase property and build a new church. On November 3rd, we moved into the
new church and held the first service there on November 5th. The dedication service was held November 23rd with Pastor Misawa as the guest speaker. We are grateful to everyone who has prayed for this for a long time, and we hope you will rejoice with us.
1. Forty adults and children attended the Fall Festival special children’s activity planned by Missionary Cristy Wyatt.
2. The Lighthouse Baptist Church is a church for U. S. Navy personnel stationed at the base in Sasebo. Once a year, the church celebrates America-Japan Day and conducts the service in Japanese. This year it was my privilege to preach on this special day to several Japanese who attended the service.
3. Pastor Yoshizawa reported the salvation of a man at the Amagi Church.
We have planned three special evangelistic services during the Christmas season. On December 23rd, a Japanese holiday, there will be a Winter Festival for children, and that night there will be a special Christmas service. Another special Christmas service and Christmas meal will be held on Sunday, the 24th. We plan to distribute thousands of flyers.
This will be our first Christmas in the new church, so we are expecting good attendance at all of these meetings. Please pray for God’s blessings.
